Tsarabanjina Private Island
Situated in the north-western part of Madagascar, at about 40 miles from the port of Nosy-Bé, Tsarabanjina is one of the paradisiacal islets of the Mitsio Archipelago.
Nosy Tsarabanjina is a private small island with beautiful mountainous island, fringed by white sand beaches and encircled by coral reefs. Its luxuriant vegetation includes baobabs and pachypodium. You have a fair chance of sighting the rare Madagascar fish eagle and the lovely flycatcher. Tsarabanjina is a sacred islet. On the small peninsula of the eastern beach is the tomb of the Sakalava kings of the Mitsio islands and even this day the people of the Mitsio islands venerate this place; they come here bringing their offerings to please the gods,an offering that may consist in money, honey ,rum and even in money.
Accommodation
The hotel Tsarabanjina has 21 thatched bungalows constructed from local materials. All the bungalows stand just above one of two beaches, and all enjoy an uninterrupted view out to sea. Every bungalow is unique, bearing the name of a flower, a tree or a fish. Bungalows consist of a main bedroom equipped with fan, bathroom with shower and a separate W.C. Each has a ceiling fan and private verandah on which you will find chairs, a coffee table, and snorkelling equipment for your personal use throughout your stay.
Activities
There are a number of water sports available including snorkelling, kayaking, hobby cat, water-skiing, fishing and sailing. Other activities include volley ball, bocci games, island walks, tennis, table tennis and board games and there is a massage service available. The bar faces the lagoon is a great place to relax and watch the sunset.
