Hawaiian Islands - Oahu

O'ahu  Island - The Gathering Place
ALOHA !!!  WELCOME TO HAWAII - Even tho i have never been before, just the name of Hawaii itself has been synonym of Paradise to me,and when i said Hawai i mean Oahu Island.
Oahu known as "The Gathering Place", is the third largest of the Hawaiian Island, most populous and beautiful of the islands in the State of Hawaii. The state capital Honolulu is located on the southeast coast, including small close-in offshore islands such as Ford Island and the islands in Kaneohe.
Your dream vacation is yours to create. Home to the majority of Hawaii’s population, the state capital of Honolulu and world famous Waikiki, Oahu is often the first stop for visitors to Hawaii. Because this is such an active and vibrant island with so much variety, there’s no shortage of things to do here.
Everyone ventures to Oahu for something different. Some come to the emerald island to laze on its pristine sandy beaches, hike its lush trails, snorkel in volcanic craters, or witness history at Pearl Harbor. On Oahu, Hawaii’s timeless beauty blends with the modern luxuries of today. Swim in the warm waters of world-famous Waikiki one moment, then enjoy the dramatic mountain views of the Nuuanu Pali Lookout another. Watch the surfers on the legendary North Shore by day, then dance the night away in vibrant nightlife spots around Honolulu.
Waikiki is most famous for its beaches and every room is just two or three blocks away from the sea. If it's glamour you seek, Waikiki Beach delivers, with its backdrop of gleaming Honolulu skyscrapers.About beach we must not forget the Beautiful Kailua beach located on the windward side of Oahu. She is an uncrowded two mile stretch of white sand beach popular with windsurfers, snorkelers, kayakers, outrigger canoe paddlers and other water sports enthusiasts.  Kailua is a quiet and friendly beach town with a variety of restaurant choices and is only 20 minutes from the Honolulu Airport and Waikiki. All major attractions including Waikiki are easily reached from Kailua.

Afterward, revelers head for Waikiki and Honolulu, where clubs and bars are strung along the illuminated shoreline.
And yet if you manage to get in Hawaii and  if you want to learn about Oahu and its people, just smile and say ""Howzit?"" and you'll usually make a new friend.
