Dalmatian Islands Croatia-Korcula

Korcula Island
An island that lies in the middle of the sunny Adriatic, also called the Pearl of the Middle Ages,
today, the island of Korčula represents a unique fusion of beautiful nature, thousands of years of cultural tradition and history, and modern tourism.
On the island u can find numerous beautiful beaches and bays, luxurious hotels and summer houses, centuries old olive groves and vineyards, and ancient towns and villages which seem as if they have remained lost in some long past time. All this make the Korcula to be the most populated island on Croatian Adriatic coast, attracting tourist from all over the world.
There are lots of activities to engage in Korcula. If you are the relaxed traveler looking for a quiet getaway, it's possible to soak up the sun on some of Croatia's most beautiful beaches. Be mindful that the beaches in Korcula are quite liberal, and most residents and tourists will be fully nude.
It is important to recognize that Croatia's beaches are quite rocky, so it is imperative to wear the correct footwear. If you plan to swim, wear shoes or swim fins in the water--there are many sea urchins!
The beaches on Korcula offer gorgeous views of the karstic coastal ranges.
There are many activities on the island that u can undertake like, Scuba Diving, Fishing, Mountain Biking,Nature Walks and more. Tourists can also visit what the town claims is the birthplace of famed explorer Marco Polo.
Additionally, local shops offer bike rentals if you choose to explore the island proper.
